Being born in 1979, I have a beloved passion for all things nostalgic and retro. It is my life, my childhood and ultimately carries on throughout my adult life daily. The things I partook in as a child, whether it be Super Mario Bros or He-Man, are a huge deal and still part of my life today. I often times find myself looking back on those golden moments of my youth when 80′s cartoons reigned the Saturday morning television sets, while Nintendo and Sega dominated the video game markets and birthed a generation of game lovers around the globe.

It is this passion that has led me to create an ‘All things 80′s’ Facebook community page titled “Child of the 80′s.” It is a nostalgic walk back in time to some of the most beloved moments of not only my childhood, but yours as well if you were a child of the 80′s. In my honest opinion, no other decade of pop culture will have the greatest influence on the world like the 80′s. The music, technologies, fashions, foods, fads and style still echo in modern day pop culture, and thumbing through old ‘Garbage Pail Kids’ stickers or a box of old ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’ action figures only fuels that nostalgia. Join me will you, as we take this look back to the decade that not only my life, but the world, the 80′s.
